About Mail Tracker

Mail Tracker is a free email tracker for Gmail. It is a Chrome extension that adds read receipts to Gmail: a grey check when an email is sent, a blue double check the moment it is opened, and a desktop notification when that happens.

Who makes Mail Tracker

Mail Tracker is made and run by Mailsumo, which also makes Email Extractor and Email Finder. One Mailsumo account works across all of them: one sign-in, one invoice, and a bundle if you use more than one. Mailsumo is also the data controller for Mail Tracker.

What Mail Tracker does

• Read receipts on every email you send from Gmail, with no limit on the free plan.
• A desktop notification the moment an email is opened, and its full open history.
• Accurate opens: it filters out Gmail’s image pre-fetch, Apple Mail Privacy Protection and security scanners, and never counts your own opens.
• On Premium: link click tracking, follow-up reminders, CSV export, scheduled-send tracking and no “Sent with Mail Tracker” signature.

How it treats your data

Mail Tracker never stores the body of your emails. It keeps what it needs to show your read receipts and reports, such as subject lines, recipients and open and click events. The privacy policy lists exactly what is stored and how to delete it, and the limited use disclosure covers how it uses Google user data.
